Family Owned and Operated for More than 20 Years

Jim and Shelia Totten first opened their doors for business in 1986, under the name SJM Janitorial. During those early years, they specialized in event cleanup and other one-time cleaning jobs.

In 1988, Jim formed a partnership with his brothers, merging SJM Janitorial into a new company: Executive Maintenance Services. As the business grew, Jim's brothers became less active in its management, until Jim and Shelia took over the company completely in 1989.

EMS has grown and changed since then, but we are still family owned and operated. That means that you benefit directly from our more than 20 years of experience.
